Monteverdi composed his late masterpiece with church performance in mind. Reflecting that approach, our production will take place in St. Margaret’s Church, Cley-Next-the-Sea, NR25 7TT on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 12, 13 and 14 May at 7 pm. Its theme is the triumph of Love over Virtue, but in its wake lies banishment and suicide.

This production will be the first time this opera has been presented in Norfolk since the Sadler’s Wells Tour of 1974. It is an opportunity not to be missed.
